A teaser site for San Diego tattoo artist Tomas Archuleta
Painstaking attention to detail was paid while conceiving this design. I was charged with the task of creating a teaser page that felt very vintage (think 1920's speakeasy). To familiarize myself with the aesthetics of that era, I studied vintage and baroque interior design, vintage typography, signage and font treatments. The true challenge of this piece was correctly matching the feel of that time period while also making it work as a web design. Almost every element seen in this composition was created from scratch. From the ornate golden frame to the envelope icon.
