Project Overview

A friend asked me to create a logo and poster for his annual music fest. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to produce this poster.

How Did I Do It?

First, I wanted to come up with a really great design for the title of the festival. All of the bands playing the festival were in the hardcore or metal genre, so clearly I had to make it tough looking. After creating some nice imagery using roses and skulls, I went on to planning the best way to execute this flyer. I did a lot of research looking for inspiration on this, and landed an atomic bomb being detonated within a city scene hoping to create a feeling that this festival would be like a bomb dropped on the city.
